Fiesta

Opening hours and Festivities

The Canary Islands follow the Greenwich Mean Time and therefore are in the same time zone as the UK. The Canary Islands have a summer and winter time. Most shops are opened from 09.00 hours until 13.00 hours and from 16.00 hours until 20.00 hours. On Saturdays shops are only open in mornings. Large supermarkets are open all day from 09.00 – 20.00 hours, six days a week. Banks are only open in mornings. Anywhere on the island are automatic cash machines. Official holidays of this autonomous region are: January 1 and 6, March 24 and 25, May 2 and 30, August 15, October 12, November 1 and December 6 and 8. Besides these holidays every village have there own festivities. From May through October every weekend a fiesta is celebrated somewhere on the island…. Being part of such a fiesta is a good way to learn about the Palmero culture. Ask us for up to date information on festivities
